Mini Rant:

Founders love blaming growth stalls on “marketing.” “We just need more traffic.” “We’re working on top-of-funnel.” Sure. But what happens after the click?

If your product doesn’t scream value in the first session, no ad in the world will save you. Growth without retention is just spending money to onboard future ghosts.

💀 Real Talk:

Most early churn isn’t caused by disinterest. It’s caused by confusion.

If users don’t know:

  • what your product does,
  • why it matters,
  • and what to do next,

…they’re gone. Not later. Right now.

🔍 The Anti-Churn Checklist

  • Is the core value obvious on the landing page?
  • Can a new user get to an “aha” moment in 2 minutes?
  • Is there a reason to come back tomorrow?
  • Do they know they’re making progress?
  • Does using it make them feel smart or stuck?

⚡ Playbook Move:

Don’t start with retention curves. Start with your welcome flow. Fix the emotional experience first — clarity, ease, momentum — then you earn behavior.
