Terms of service

Last updated August 29, 2026.

This is a one-person business selling professional judgment. These are the terms, in plain language, because if your user has to think, you've already lost — that applies to legal pages too.

Section 01

What you’re buying

The MVP Teardown ($2,500), the Strategic Sprint ($5,000), and the Embedded Advisor retainer are product strategy services: analysis, written reports, calls, and advice. You get my honest professional judgment. What you do with it — what you ship, kill, or ignore — is your call and your responsibility.

Section 02

Payment

Fees are flat and quoted before work starts. Payment is due up front unless we agree otherwise in writing. If I look at your intake and don’t think I can help, I’ll say so before you pay anything.

Section 03

Refunds

If I accept a booking and fail to deliver the work, you get a full refund. Once a teardown or sprint is delivered, the fee is earned — you’re paying for the judgment, not for agreeing with it.

Section 04

Confidentiality

Anything you share about your product, metrics, or business stays between us and is used only to do the work. I’ll sign a reasonable NDA if you want one. Public teardowns published on this site are only ever about publicly visible products and surfaces, never client work.

Section 05

No guarantees

I don’t promise revenue, retention, funding, or any specific outcome, and you shouldn’t trust anyone who does. Advice is based on what I can see and what you tell me; it can be wrong. It is not legal, financial, or investment advice.

Section 06

Your report

Once paid for, the deliverables are yours to use inside your company however you like. My frameworks, checklists, and methods remain mine to reuse. Neither of us gets to publish the other’s confidential material without permission.

Section 07

The equity option

The 1 to 3% equity arrangement on the Embedded Advisor tier is selective and always documented in a separate written agreement. Nothing on this site constitutes an offer of that arrangement.

Section 08

Liability

To the extent the law allows, my total liability for any engagement is capped at the fees you actually paid me for it.

Section 09

Changes

If these terms change, the new version gets posted here with a new date. The terms in force when you booked are the ones that apply to that engagement.
